Sunday success story!
“I adopted my Chihuahua/whippet, Mega Byte, from the Fort Morgan Humane Society in March 2011 and my cat, Lucy Busey, from there in June 2011. They are both 14 years old now. Mega Byte aka Meggie (although the oldest) is the baby of the family. He loves to help garden and believes he is a cat. He enjoys tickles, blankets, playing with his kitty siblings and his dog brother. He is a mommy's boy and has to be with her all the time. His favorite treat is cheese although he's not allowed it all the time. Lucy Busey aka Goose is the family princess. She won't allow anyone to pet her unless she smells their head first and approves of them. She loves having her picture taken and will pose. Her vet has said she could be a model. When she isn't busy ruling the other animals she enjoys "playing" video games with her humans and "reading" with them. She loves being brushed and being called a pretty princess. Tuna is her favorite special treat."

"Good Morning! Just want to give an updated on Olaf ( Sunny -Adopted May 2019) Olaf keeps us on our toes and brings us so much joy everyday. Recently he had a modeling opportunity locally which was so much fun. Recently, we celebrated Olaf's 5 year "Gotcha Day." These years have been a beautiful & wild adventure with him. I like to be honest & admit that the 1st year was tough. Ultimately, it was all worth it. Olaf is like a cartoon character who makes us laugh constantly. When needed his like a security blanket that cuddles with us. To us, Olaf is everything, and we are so grateful that we were chosen for him."
Sunday Cinco De Mayo Success Story!
"Cowboy (formally Archie) joined our lives very unexpectedly. We had just moved to Colorado and bought our house. Well our first cat Smoke decided he was very lonely and kept us up all night with his meowing for 5 days straight! On day six we woke up headed to the Human society and told them we were not leaving without a cat lol! So the lovely caretakers asked us about our lives and what kind of cat we were looking for. After we answered the questions to the best of our abilities we were shown around. We met so many amazing cats but our Boy captured our hearts his sweet personality hypotized us. After we took him home he was a little scared at first but once he realized he was home he discovered a whole new range of hobbies like window watching with his brother, playing videos games with Dad, showers, belly rubs and eating all the snacks and treats while watching Mom cook. He has been a wonderful addition to our family. Now Dracarys we planned a little better for. Shortly after Cowboy came home Smoke discovered he could not keep up with a younger cat no matter how much he tried and he became a little grouchy trying to. Well in our minds Cowboy needed a playmate. So off to searching we went. Dracarys was born in the shelter and was originally adopted by another who never came to pick her up. Luckily for us because we walked in and fell in love with her. So we brought her home where she discovered she was a queen and needed the best things in life (as she should). She runs the house and we wouldn’t have it any other way. She is the perfect mix of rambunctious kitten for Cowboy and nappy kitty for Smoke. It’s like she knows she can’t play as rough with him. She enjoys bird watching with her brothers, chasing the falling leaves she sees out the window and falling asleep while watching tv and making sure every night she gets two of the 4 pillows on the bed. We couldn’t be luckier to have these two in our lives. We are so greatful to the Human Society for doing what they do so we can have the chance to give them their furever homes. Without them our house wouldn’t be complete. " -Jennifer "We adopted Marley on Dec 23rd to my surprise also the day we got engaged! Marry Me Marley is her full name. She started off very shy. Now she is very curious and sometimes pretty ornery! She runs through the house like it’s her optical course. She loves her dad she lays on he’s lap nightly. She seems to know when there is something new she will take it like it’s hers. Marley entertains us. She’s a pretty sweet girl most of the time:)"
Marley was at the shelter for 3 almost 4 months. Until this couple came in to adopt her. Thank you so much for taking great care of her and giving her a home! I have always believed each of us has one dog that is more special than all the others - Quigley has challenged that notion and instantly found his way into our hearts alongside the greatest dogs ever. He is the most "chill" dog I have ever been around, calm and happy around everyone and everything. He is 10ft loyal - wherever I go, there he is and never in the way. Despite his advanced years, Quigley is a spry old man moving into the "Do as I please" stage of dog life where he is sometimes reluctant to listen to the first command - not defiant, just takes his sweet time. He is deliberate and purposeful in each decision - he reminds you to slow down and enjoy life. He is especially excited to greet you in the yard with leaps and turns, then rest on the couch for the rest of the night. Our children are fiercely loyal ... they know NEVER to bad mouth the perfect dog ... even chastising his dumpster breath will get you a stern look in this house. Now spoiled with canned dog food, he will politely remind you of feeding time with excited tippy-taps and the very occasional gentle woof. Quigley is the dog lover's dog, and the anti-dog dog - everyone loves him regardless of their canine affinity! What an amazing service Fort Morgan Humane Society provides; thank you for bringing Quigley into our lives.
We see our feral cats about once a week. This is the first time one has stuck around long enough for a picture! Rusty is loving his barnyard cat job!

"Hi there! I just wanted to update y’all on Steele. He is settling in well to his new forever home. He loves hikes, walks, naps, and of course his treats. He is the most lovable, friendly dog to not only humans but to dogs, as well. He has easily become my best friend. " Super Bowl Sunday Success Story!
